COURSE OUTCOMES

This qualification reflects the role of individuals in a variety of information and communications technology (ICT) roles who have established specialised skills in a technical ICT function.

Individuals in these roles carry out moderately complex tasks in a specialist field, working independently, as part of a team or leading a deliverable with others. They may apply their skills across a wide range of industries, business functions and departments, or as a business owner (sole trader/contractor).

The skills required for these roles may include, but are not restricted to:
business analysis: designing and implementing technical requirements, quality assurance processes and contingency plans for businesses.

LICENCING REQUIREMENT

No occupational licensing, certification or specific legislative requirements apply to this qualification at the time of publication.

Successfully completing this training provides the knowledge and skills required for students to gain fulltime/part time or casual employment in the following possible job titles: Enterprise application intergration consultation, Knowledge manager, eLearning manager, Software manager.

ENTRY REQUIREMENT – RTO SPECIFIC

Australasia Technology Institute (ATI) has the following entry requirements:

International students must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age and have completed Year 10 or equivalent.
  • Complete the ATI Pre-enrolment suitability form to determine suitability for the course and student needs.
  • Have an IELTS* score of 5.5 or equivalent (test results must be no more than 2 years old).

*Note that other English language tests such as PTE and TOEFL can be accepted. Students are required to provide their results so that it can be confirmed they are equivalent to IELTS 5.5.

RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING AND CREDIT TRANSFER

Recognition of prior learning (RPL) may be obtained for skills and knowledge obtained through previous study or relevant experience obtained in Australia. Australasia Technology Institute recognises qualifications from other Australian providers and offers student Credit Transfer.

AWARD QUALIFICATION AND OUTCOME

On successful completion of this course students will be awarded a nationally recognised qualification:
ICT60220 Advanced Diploma of Information Technology.

DELIVERY MODE AND DURATION

Course duration: 104 weeks over eight (8) Terms 

Term: 80 weeks of training and assessment spread over 8 terms of 10 weeks each and 24 weeks of holidays. 

Weekly Hours: 20 hours per week during the term

Delivery Mode:

  • 15 hours per week face-to-face classroom mode 
  • 5 hours per week supervised distance mode
