COURSE OUTCOMES

This qualification reflects the role of individuals who provide leadership and support strategic direction in the marketing and communications activities of an organisation. Their knowledge base may be highly specialised or broad within the marketing and
communications field. Typically, they are accountable for group outcomes and the overall performance of the marketing and communication, advertising or public relations functions of an organisation.

ENTRY REQUIREMENT – TRAINING PACKAGE

Entry to this qualification is limited to those who:

Have completed BSB52415 Diploma of Marketing and Communication

or

Have completed the following units (or equivalent competencies): BSBMKG541 Identify and evaluate marketing opportunities; BSBMKG542 Establish and monitor the marketing mix; BSBMKG552 Design and develop marketing communication plans; BSBMKG555 Write persuasive copy; and BSBPMG430 Undertake project work. Equivalent competencies are predecessors to these units, which have been mapped as equivalent.

or

Have four years equivalent full-time relevant work experience.

ENTRY REQUIREMENT – RTO SPECIFIC

Australasia Technology Institute (ATI) has the following entry requirements:

International students must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age and have completed Year 12 or equivalent.
  • Complete the ATI Pre-enrolment suitability form to determine suitability for the course and student needs.
  • Have an IELTS* score of 5.5 or equivalent (test results must be no more than 2 years old).

*Note that other English language tests such as PTE and TOEFL can be accepted. Students are required to provide their results so that it can be confirmed they are equivalent to IELTS 5.5.

RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING AND CREDIT TRANSFER

Recognition of prior learning (RPL) may be obtained for skills and knowledge obtained through previous study or relevant experience obtained in Australia. Australasia Technology Institute recognises qualifications from other Australian providers and offers student Credit Transfer.

On successful completion of this course students will be awarded a nationally recognised qualification:

DELIVERY MODE AND DURATION

Delivery mode 

This program is delivered: 

  • 15 hours per week face-to-face classroom mode 
  • 5 hours per week supervised distance mode 

Course duration 

This qualification will be delivered over 104 weeks, including 80 weeks of training and assessment spread over 8 terms of 10 weeks each and 24 weeks of holidays.
